NEWS: Sarea set to release new album ‘This Is Not Goodbye’

Sarea 2014

Formed back in 2008, Swedish band Sarea has been described as “a melodic punch in the face”. ‘Alive’, Sarea’s debut album, was released in October 2010 – a pacey album full of energy.

As reported back in December 2012, when the band toured the UK, I saw them play two dates – the B2 Norwich and The Dirty South in London – where they proved themselves as highly competent musicians, quickly winning over the audiences.

Sarea are now set to release their follow up album ‘This Is Not Goodbye’ on October 10th.

‘Downfall’ is the first single to be taken from the new album and it features a brand new music video.

If you’re a fan of melodic yet aggressive metal, in the same vein as In Flames, Killswitch Engage, Soilwork, Bring Me The Horizon etc., then this new album from Sarea is well worth checking out.

It’s safe to say that ‘This Is Not Goodbye’ really takes them to the next level.

‘Kinda Wish She Would’ is the new single from Bernie Marsden

Hello everyone.

Some of you will know that Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake, Alaska, Babe Ruth, Ashton Paice Lord, The Moody Marsden Band) is to release a studio album called ‘Shine’ on August 18th 2014. Well, I’ve just heard in full one of the tracks from the new album and it sounds terrific!

Kinda Wish She Would‘ is the sublime new single from one of the world’s most celebrated blues/rock guitarists. A renowned songwriter, Marsden has written and recorded with some of the genre’s greats, including Robert Planet, Joe Bonamassa, Ringo Starr and Paul Weller to name a few, and has written many global rock anthems, including Whitesnake’s ‘Here I Go Again’.

You can hear part of the song on this album trailer video:

Marsden has put his name to over 100 albums throughout his illustrious career with various bands including Whitesnake and UFO and guesting on other projects with the likes of Alaska, Cozy Powell, Walter Trout, Jon Lord and Ian Paice

Shine was recorded with Rob Cass at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. Marsden recruited some of his close friends and peers to the recording process including the likes of Joe Bonamassa, David Coverdale and Deep Purple duo Ian Paice (drums) and Don Airey (keyboards).

Bernie will tour the UK as follows with many more dates to be added:

July 20th – Steelhouse Festival, South Wales, UK
Oct 22nd- Jazz Café, London, UK
Oct 23rd – The Brook, Southampton, UK
Oct 24th – The Stables, Wavendon, UK

Grog Rox from Die So Fluid talks about the new album, new videos, @AltFestival and a new way of working

Anyone who has seen Die So Fluid perform ‘live’, let alone heard their music, knows that the group are one of the most accomplished Alternative Rock acts around. Drew Richards (guitar), Al Fletcher (drums) and Grog Rox (bass and vocals) finally released their fourth album ‘The Opposites Of Light’.

There’s a greater depth and scope to the songwriting within the DSF camp than we’ve had before. The new recording techniques and practices employed on the album have pushed and developed the band both individually and collectively as musicians. This together with higher production values that are clearly evident on first-listening have, to my mind to my mind at least, made ‘The Opposites Of Light’ their best album to date. Audience reaction to the new songs that Die So Fluid performed here in the UK during their recent mini-tour have been positive to say the least.

We discussed the making of the album with Grog who went on to explain the reasons behind the time it took to release the album. We also talked about songwriting and the new ways of working since Grog now reside in the US, video shoots, as well as their appearance later this year at Alt-Fest.

Here’s the audio interview:-
