On tonight’s show…

Another week flies by and here we are once again…just a few hours away from showtime.

On tonight’s show, we’ve got all your requests to play, plus a few tracks from bands who released albums this week back in the day, and we’ll see if we can fit in one or two songs which feature artists who would be celebrating their birthdays.

We’re following last week’s Black Stone Cherry competition with another; one which features Aussie band Massive, and a chance to win a CD of their debut album ‘Full Throttle’ (out July 21st on Earache Records), revamped with four new recordings. The competition will open at 8pm tonight – look out for more details on that later on.

I’m duty bound to empty my sack again this week, even more so ‘cos it’s Christmas 😉

The Classic Rock Show ‘Christmas Party’ is all set to be a cracker!! Feast your mince pies on this little lot…

Our playlist this week is made up of Magnum, Thin Lizzy, Gillan, Boston, .38 Special, Heart, Iron Butterfly, Humble Pie, Accept, Halestorm, Fall Out Boy, Ozzy, Poison, Bon Jovi, Heavy Pettin’, as well as a couple of dozen or so great sounding rock tracks, intermingled with some festive numbers to keep in the spirit of things.

Come and party with us this Thursday, 7pm – here. We’ll be the loud one’s wearing reindeer antlers, rocking out, generally misbehaving and drinking Jägerbombs.

Sound like a plan? Too right.

It’s our 4th Anniversary!! Tune in to the show tonight from 7pm!! #ClassicRock

Hello there

Just warming up the studio in readiness for tonight’s 4th Anniversary show.

We’ve got a lot to get through. I’m also joined in the studio by two close friends of The Classic Rock Show – Bex (from Bex Rocks) and Dawn (from Friday Rock Night on Felixstowe Radio). I will obviously have to behave myself!! 😉

We’ll hear two tracks each from Saxon, Whitesnake, Rainbow and AC/DC! We’ve also got some killer tuneage from Cinderella, Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, Foghat, Cheap Trick, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Clutch, The Dead Daisies, Blackfoot, REO Speedwagon, Boston, Iron Maiden, McCoy, Epysode, Nocturna, Rob Zombie, Demon, Terrorvision, Buckcherry, Danger Danger, Damn Yankees, and a whole load more.

If that’s not enough, we’ll be announcing the lucky winner of the Mott The Hoople competition we’ve been running all this week to win a pair of VIP tickets to their London show at the O2.

Here’s what we got to play on Valentine’s Day!!

Hey there!

I gotta tell you just how overwhelmed I was at receiving the “welcome back” messages both during and after the show…I am truly blessed with having such wonderful listeners, I really am…thank you so very much. It felt good to be back behind the mic again after my vacation 🙂

So, here’s the playlist from the Valentine’s Day show…50 songs in four hours!! We mixed it up just a little with well-known tunes along with some of those hidden gems.
