From 7pm tonight (BST) / 2pm (EDT) / 11am (PDT) ‘The Classic Rock Show’ fills three hours with some classic cuts from bands who released albums and singles from around this week ‘back in the day’.

Expect to hear from Skid Row, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Van Halen, Megadeth, Ratt, Marillion, Judas Priest and Ozzy.

Requests that we’ve picked come from the stables of Slash (x2), Budgie, Diamond Head, Volbeat, Status Quo, Five Finger Death Punch, Soundgarden, ZZ Top, Saga, Poison, Iron Maiden, to name a few.

New music is also included – Dan Patlansky, City Of Thieves, Butcher Babies and Lamb Of God.

Celebrating 5 years of The Classic Rock Show tonight!

We’ve been counting down the days this week and the day has finally arrived.

‘The Classic Rock Show’ and ‘Bex Rocks’ has been bringing together people from the world over to listen to some of the very best rock music around for the past five years.

We’re celebrating our 5th Birthday tonight (from 7pm UK time) and we’d like very much for you to join our celebrations, raise a glass or three of something nice and rock out to some top tuneage!

So, to those who have been with us from the start over the years, all the bands, record labels and PR, and to all our new listeners too, from Bex and myself, a big mahoosive thank you to each and every one of you.

Can I tell you what we’ve got lined up for you tonight? Yes, of course.

Artists such as AC/DC, Skid Row, Gary Moore, Rival Sons, Iron Maiden, Whitesnake, Bryan Adams, Heart, Deep Purple, Rush, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, The Temperance Movement, Blackberry Smoke amongst others plus we’ll be playing two songs that opened up ‘The Classic Rock Show’ five years ago…from Led Zeppelin and Wishbone Ash.

Skid Row are joined by Sister on their UK Tour

Sweden’s SISTER have announced they will join Skid Row on an extensive UK run that kicks off in Bristol on October 17th, 2014. Making up the bill will be The Last Vegas.

Rikki Riot comments: “Skid Row has been a great influence to the members in Sister since the start of their own musical career and before that. It will be a great experience to share the stage on the UK tour in October. We will do our part to make this a memorable tour for a long time to come!”

They have also confirmed an appearance at the ‘Peace and Love’ festival in Borlänge, Sweden on July 5th.

Sister recently launched a brand new music video for one of the most vitriol-filled cuts from their latest album, ‘Disguised Vultures’. “Slay Yourself” was filmed at venues in Sweden and Finland and captures the sweaty and raw energy unleashed on the club stages on that tour.

“Disguised Vultures” emphasises what the band is all about: heavy, raw sound and attitude. Fans will find plenty more of what Revolver Magazine described as “a genre-bending amalgam of street punk attitude and glam-inspired melodies” on this new album.
