Thursday has finally arrived and we can now get down to playing some of that tuneage you’ve requested.
Point your browser to www.theclassicrockshow.co.uk and click on the ‘Listen Live’ link. Alternatively, if you’re looking to connect via a mobile device, you can pick up the show using the FREE to download and use TuneIn app.
We’ve opened up the ‘Request-line’ for Thursday’s show. It’s your opportunity to get what you want to hear on the playlist. I guess you could say that it’s The Classic Rock Show’s ‘Throwback Thursday’, but with music as opposed to pictures!
After our successful ‘Cover Versions Special‘ last week, ‘The Classic Rock Show’ is back to play your requests and a whole lot more great sounding music this Thursday, February 20th from 7pm GMT.
Share this event on your Facebook Timeline and invite all fellow rockers along for a guaranteed rockin’ good time…just the way we rockers always do it!!
See you Thursday 😀

As mentioned during a show a few weeks ago, I’ve really enjoyed listening to Sandi Thom’s version of a Guns ‘N’ Roses classic, taken from her album called ‘The Covers Collection’. It’s an album crammed full of her interpretations of some of the greatest rock classics; including Heart’s ‘Alone’, ‘Times Like These’ by the Foo Fighters, ‘Black Velvet’ by Alannah Myles, Aerosmith’s ‘Dream On’ and Led Zeppelin’s ‘The Rain Song’, to name but a few.
This got me thinking; it’s been a good while since I put together a Classic Rock Show ‘Cover Versions’ Special. When these have been aired these in the past, a good few surprises have been heard amongst those that are perhaps more familiar to our ears. Each show has always gone down a storm.
So, tell me, what are your fave rock cover versions? Add them to the comment box below and if I’ve got the track available, it’ll be put in the pot for Thursday’s show.
Cheers!

PS: Sandi Thom begins her 2014 World Tour in April. For more information, click here. I’ll be interviewing Sandi ahead of the tour – more details on that next month.
It’s freezing cold and wet and windy but you don’t have to go outside. Listen to me on www.theclassicrockshow.co.uk from 7pm tonight. Turn the heating off if you like, but make sure you tune in and get those air guitars out!
First off, John McCoy and I would like to thank each and every one of you for tuning in last week. The feedback received during and after the show was quite unprecedented. We really appreciated it.
Here’s the playlist.
Some of the stories that John recounted gave us all a real insight into the music scene, the personalities and what was going on in the bands at the time. Great stuff.
It’s been suggested by a number of people that we do it again sometime. It’s something we would consider, but what do you think?
Once again, thanks for making it such an enjoyable night.
